This year marks the 25th edition of the festival, which will take place in Barcelona on July 18, 19, and 20. Tickets are available starting at 79 euros (Sónar Night), 58 euros (Sónar Day), 195 euros (three-day pass), 135 euros (2 nights), 195 euros (2 VIP nights), and the extremely hard-to-get (Full VIP Pass) for 350 euros, which grants access to all concerts and a selection of activities.

Sónar is a pioneering cultural event that is unique in both its format and content: a leading international event thanks to a carefully curated program that combines entertainment with art, the avant-garde and experimentation with new trends in electronic dance music.

Sónar takes the pulse of the current electronic music scene and its interactions and fusions with digital creation, bringing together established artists and emerging talent from all areas of music and audiovisual production.

Sónar’s founding values have defined the festival since its inception as a bridge between creativity and technology, and its commitment as a global event and a meeting place for different disciplines and creative communities from around the world.

Sónar Barcelona’s activities are divided into two main venues: Sónar by Day, held at Fira Montjuïc, featuring concerts and showcases, and Sónar+D, the International Conference on the digital transformation of the creative industries to foster talent, knowledge exchange, and business opportunities; and the major shows of Sónar by Night, at Fira Gran Via in L’Hospitalet, where the biggest names on the international music scene take the stage.

Sónar+D presents a program of activities designed to be useful to various creative communities, offering training sessions, opportunities for the exchange of ideas, and tools for financing projects. Sónar+D reflects all phases of the creative process with a single goal: to make the relationship between creativity, technology, innovation, and business more visible and accessible in an organic environment focused on new creative and professional profiles.

Since 2002, Sónar has organized more than 50 festivals in different parts of the world, adapting the philosophy of the Barcelona festival to unique venues and settings, showcasing the most interesting international talent and the local scene of the country where each festival takes place. In addition to the Barcelona event, Sónar organizes festivals in other cities every year. The festival has traveled to Reykjavík, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Buenos Aires, New York, London, Cape Town, Frankfurt, Seoul, Lisbon, Lyon, Hamburg, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Boston, Denver, Oakland, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Osaka, among other destinations.

After the concerts, there are showcases for anyone who’s interested. A showcase is a short performance of 3 to 5 songs that musicians put on at a record store or shopping mall to present and promote their new album to the public; these events are free. Usually, after the showcases, the artists hold autograph sessions or take photos with fans.
